Now you're putting words in my mouth. I agree with the Conservatives who are more than a little PO'd that Bush is acting as though he'd never promised conservative judges in the mold of Scalia/Thomas. I have every right to be ticked about that. In fact, I think more "conservatives" should be ticked about it. As to her being ugly, gay, a b*tch, or never married, I'm a single 30 year old man who ain't exactly GQ sexy. Nor do I care. So no, I neither said nor do I support such comments. I assure you my comments are based on nothing quite so petty. It seems to me that the Bushbots (and I used to be one) are ignoring the campaign promises he's breaking. For goodness sake, Harry Reid said he's likes this candidate! How can this possibly be good in any way?

David Frum's piece has it right. We've waited 20 years, and this is what we get? I am holding out judgment on Miers, but we could have done so much better.

The question is whether this nomination will sail through, or whether conservatives can launch a legitimate opposition to her nomination. The question is not whether she'll have a Senate majority. Right now, that is assured.

If it makes you feel any better...I just heard some guy on Glen Beck saying she was 'very conservative'...so ...maybe you will like her.
