appears to be This is a serious problem.
Everyone against this nomination is doing so based on what "appears to be" and not on what IS.
Can we please wait to find out the FACTS before jumping off the deep end here??

Can we please wait to find out the FACTS before jumping off the deep end here?? Wait for facts? And ruin the fun everyone's having with hysteria and speculation?

Your restraint is admirable, but I think questioning the pick is appropriate. By the time we have the facts, Miers will most likely be on the court. After all, this is a political forum, and this is by far the largest issue of the day. Speculation is to be expected - that's why we're here, after all.

We have a right to be disappointed.
Miers may be a fine woman and a good pick for an appeals court, but this is the Supreme Court. This is the Big Time. There's only 9 SCOTUS Justices in all the land. No matter what, Bush could have done better. We were expecting another homerun like Roberts, and instead Bush decided to bunt.
