Sometimes I wonder if people are serious - or just stirring the pot for fun. This has got to be the most asinine thing I've seen yet on this site.

Even taking it out of the realm of the Biblical example of Marriage, and taking it out of the realm of today's world where many marriages end in divorce and there are multiple family relationships.

I can't see a positive, ESPECIALLY, if you're talking about poorer communities. In a poorer community who can afford it? It's selfish - socialistic in nature - and an awful example to young boys and girls that you don't have to be faithful - completely changes the family relationship - and ultimately taken to the limit has to encourage incest and other faulty relationships.

Who said anything about not being faithful?

And the problem in poorer communities is that there aren't enough male earners available to young women that want babies. So what happens? They take what they can get -- the no job, 18 year old, run away father. And then the state helps them take care of the kid.

Heck. We already have men supporting multiple women and children financially via taxation through all sorts of social programs. Might as well go all the way and let them marry.
