Pico Rivera bridge on fire

PICO RIVERA, Calif. A roadway bridge over Rio Hondo is ablaze for an unknown reason.

Captain Mark Savage of the Los Angeles County Fire Department says the call came in at 7:48 this morning, reporting a fire under the bridge.

He notes that bridges have wood underneath.

Savage says the bridge may now be compromised and it may not be safe to drive over.
