OPNION/Speculation/My $0.02:
A high body count is going to do nothing but make us angry enough to use nukes. AQs objectives are to get us out of the ME and make us submit to shari law. Our Achilles’ heel is our economy. Since we no longer manufacture anything in the US, if our economy can be damaged to the point were we can’t buy our war supplies we will have to withdraw and they will win.
That’s why the ‘authorities’ are telling us to continue shopping.
That’s why we continue to see the threats to our infrastructure.
I thought the same thing AD. Why go to the trouble and expense of reinforcing a massive bridge like the Verrazano if there is no threat.
