This has Chinese Star Anise as an ingredient (Tamiflu is derived from Chinese Star Anise) among other goodies that Granny often mentions. It is stocked in my pantry and we sip occasionally. At the onset of cold/flu, we increase use of the tea...
Combined with Zicam rapid melt lozenges(over the counter) as directed

At anytime if temp > than 100F, we go to the doctor.
I believe this is key with any bad flu season.
Many people wait too long to go to the doc and flu becomes more difficult to treat, ie. pneumonia.
Wash hands, wash hands, carry anti-bacterial wipes.
Don't touch icky things like escalator railings.
Wash hands.
Throw away toothbrushes or soak in 1/10 bleach solution after an illness so you don't reinfect yourself.
I don't do flu shots, but would advise those over 50 to go ahead and get them.
Realistically, I can't get excited or nervous about this flu. Since 1997, only 60 people have died. Yes, it can mutate and probably will. Compare the 1918 flu and the medical treatments and medical care available at the time. We're far advanced and the key again, is to seek treatment early...don't put off going to the doctor.
excellent advise on the flu.
thank you.
