I caught a comment this morning regarding the Avian Flu Drug. Its not a vaccine, like I assumed. I heard its a drug you have to take multiple doses of for it to be effective. Like a vitamin regiment.
Did I hear that right? How true is that? Anyone?
You heard right. If this thing surfaces in our cities, we are in big trouble.
The fact remains that we have to rely on foreign manufacturers for flu drugs. Not one US manufacturer will make these drugs because of FEAR of LITIGATION!!
Roche, as I posted up thread has a monopoly on TamiFLu.
If this thing spreads, millions will die because we are too litigious of a society and the drug manufacturers are only in business to make BIG bucks.
