Iraq Al-Qaeda shows execution despite 'Zawahiri
letter'

DUBAI (AFP) - Al-Qaeda in Iraq released a video purporting to show
the execution of an Iraqi who worked for US forces, days after
Washington said the group had been told such killings cost the
movement support.
The video was released by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's group after US
authorities said they had seized a letter from Al-Qaeda's overall
number two, Ayman al-Zawahiri, telling him his campaign of
executions and attacks on Muslims was damaging popular, mainly
Sunni Arab, support for the insurgency.
The undated film, whose authenticity could not be verified, was titled
"Application of Divine Judgement on a Contractor Working for the
Crusaders," in reference to US-led forces in Iraq.

Pakistan: mullah blocks feeding of earthquake
survivors' during Ramadan

Feeding 1,200 people with no kitchen requires a bit of preparation.
You need to light fires, boil rice and cook meat. It takes several hours.
You have to get going in advance.
But one of the local mullahs did not see it that way and he paid
Mohammed Mustafa a visit.
"What are you doing?" he shouted. "Don't you know it's Ramadan
now? This is just not permitted.
"You can't cook food during the day. It's against Islam. Stop or I'll
burn this place down - your tents, your pots, everything."

Granny,
I just found this. It's in COLOMBIA. I've been watching to see if this is going to land in Europe, and here it is... in THE AMERICAS. This is too scary. Tried to order tamiflu online, but 1) I cannot afford it, and 2) online suppliers appear to be out if it due to demand. So Granny... now what?! You always have good ideas on home remedies... I'm listening now! :(

The first bird flu case in Colombia has appeared.
An Agriculture Ministry statement reported the bird flu has occurred in three farms in Tolima and poultries affected from the bird flu have been put under the quarantine to prevent the spread of the illness.
Adding in the statement that there is no clue the bird flue virus is the same as the possible fatal H5N1 virus, Agriculture Minister Andres Felipe Arias said the virus is not the same as the virus that makes the world anxious, and claimed, this virus is not like the one that makes people ill in Asia."
He also noted infected chickens will go under virus control all over the country.
Fatal H5N1 has caused the death of 65 people and infected 116 in Asia since 2003. The bird flu has also caused the death of over 100 million birds.
