If I remember correctly, IH was down quite a few months ago. The owner of the site was very ill and couldn't run it anymore. I believe someone else took it over (?). It was probably around the time of that post you are referring to, which was late January 2005.
As far as Adnan being "that" Adnan, only Adnan knows.
