After reading Walid Phares' report, I believe it would be prudent for the Washington DC subway system to be on high alert as well.
New York, as we all know, is not the only location hit on 9/11.

Good thought about the Metro DC subways being on alert also.
We always have to analyze the info given out by those being interrogated (like the insurgents in Iraq who spilled the beans about the subway threat). They mix information with disinformation. They said the attack was planned for the second week in October. That means it may be the first week or the third week. They said there are to be "19 suitcase bombs". That means the bombs could be in anything from backpacks to McDonald's bags to diaper bags.The 19 number, they just pulled out of the air.
The informants also mentioned baby carriages as a place to plant the bombs. While everyone is looking at the baby carriage, the floral bouquet held by the pretty Arabic woman at the other end of the train car will explode.
You get my drift.
