SNIP:BAYTOWN, Texas - Fake flu shots were given out last week at an Exxon Mobil Corp. health fair and an investigation was under way, authorities said.
Exxon Mobil spokeswoman Treacy A. Roberts said Thursday that the Federal Bureau of Investigation told the company that the shots administered were "definitely not the flu vaccine."
FBI officials did not explain how they found out about the potential fraud, Roberts said.
Exxon Mobil offered blood tests and counseling to the up to 1,000 employees who took part in the health fair at the oil company's vast complex of refineries and chemical plants just east of Houston.

SNIP:(AP) A Texas employment agency was sentenced to five years of probation for hiring illegal immigrants to work at the nation's top producer of military battlefield rations, federal prosecutors said Thursday.
The Tollin Group was also fined $20,000 and ordered to pay $414,000 in civil penalties Wednesday. It has been barred from Department of Defense contracts for three years.
The San Antonio-based company, which does business as Remedy Intelligent Staffing, pleaded guilty in January to hiring illegal immigrants and trying to cover it up by falsifying employment eligibility forms. The workers were hired for Wornick Co., which makes MREs _ or "meals ready-to-eat."
The investigation was initiated in February 2003 after an al-Qaida operative was arrested with information pointing to McAllen and Wornick as terrorist targets. Wornick had been awarded a $47 million contract to produce more than 1.1 million MREs for U.S. forces in Iraq.

It's also an amazing herb for lactating mommies who need a boost in milk supply. (And that's what I thought of when I read that story - )
Fenugreek is a fascinating, multi-talented herb.
Some of its uses.........increases lactation (good for breast feeding mothers), stimulates libido (and sweat) in men, seasoning for food, lowers fevers, lessens menstrual pain, reduces blood glucose, thins brochial secretions. It has been used as a medicinal in southern Europe for centuries.
(I learned all this unnecessary trivia while researching it for a cooking class I was teaching years ago.)
I don't know how to post an original article, but I am full of useless trivia.
I would doubt that Russia will change much of the training, if they close the mosques, they will simply meet in the homes and other places.
It would be difficult to come up with a plan that will stop the evilness that is loose on the world today.

In fact this list is very limited as in 1990 there were 162 incidents[4] in South America alone.

I don't know if this happened earlier and you all have moved on but Drudge has a story about a sweet smell in Manhattan. So far the testing has shown nothing harmful.

Sigh. Yes, you're exactly right - most likely the bird flu will be either
(1) A non-event - never making it to the point of a widely-transmissible virus, in which case the effort put into making the vaccine will be wasted, or
(2) a mutated version of the virus against which all our current vaccines will be useless.
Your tax dollars at work again, unfortunately. :-(
