Foreign students pretty much have diplomatic immunity once they get here.

"Mexico planning VW Bora production in Kerman"

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "LONDON, September 25 (IranMania) - Iran and Mexico are planning to cooperate on the production of a high quality but expensive Volkswagen car, said the Mexican ambassador.

According to ILNA, Luis Ortiz Monasterio further said on the sidelines of the Third International Exhibition on Transportation, Development and Urban Services that the Bora, which has all the capabilities of a Golf hatchback plus a boot, is a popular car in Mexico and will be produced in Iran from 2006.

Mexico has been cooperating with the giant German carmaker for the past 40 years,? he said, adding that since automotive industries in Iran and Mexico are at the same level, Bora production in Iran is considered by both sides as an exchange of technology.

He put bilateral trade transactions between Tehran and Mexico City at $60 million, stressing that the Mexican Embassy in Tehran is trying to boost this figure."

Glad you're all ok over there. That cold weather front is what kept Wilma from coming up here and swept it over Florida.

You are welcome.

I had a long list of my best googles from last year and clicked on one more article and lost the whole works.

That is what I get for playing the 'one more' game.

Are we on a runaway freight train or WTF!!! <<<<<

I would say that we are a crashed runaway disaster.

If it is this bad now and the talk shows are crazy too, then from here on it gets worse.

Halloween, pulls the occult thoughts.

Christmas is always a time of great stress for some people.

The terrorists are teasing us.

The anti's are really having their _____, (estasy), from the thought that the Plame and Delay cases will lead to shame and jail for some.

And the flu threat is ever present and will not go away for a couple of years.

Islamic Jihad Says it Will No Longer Respect
Ceasefire
AKI ^ | October 24 2005

Posted on 10/24/2005 2:52:56 PM PDT by jmc1969

In a message posted to Islamist websites on Monday, the militant
Palestinian Islamic Jihad group announced that "from today" it will no
longer respect an eight-month unofficial ceasefire."Following the
killing of Islamic Jihad's military wing al-Quds Brigades' leader Luai
al-Saadi, we are free of the obligation to respect the ceasefire and will
respond to the Zionist aggression" the group's message read.

Israeli troops shot dead al-Saadi - most senior Palestinian militant
killed since the start of the ceasefire - in Tulkarm on Monday. The
previous day, they targeted an al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades member,
Majed al-Ashkar, killing him in a raid because, like al-Saadi, he had
allegedly been planning attacks on Israelis.

My tinfoil is on tight here, and I have to ask, why do they think it is going to go through so many changes, did some terrorist scientist play with it?

Most varieties of the flu go through a lot of changes, mostly because even one infected individual sheds so many millions of virus particles, and given just the odd virus replication error or combining with another virus infecting the same cell, there are lots of possibilities for changes in the virus. Some viruses evolve like that faster than others but the flu tends to be one of the faster ones.

Obviously nobody can be certain whether a human-transmissible bird flu virus will evolve as quickly as other flu viruses or if it will be relatively stable but he's guessing that it will be like other flu viruses in that respect - which is probably a pretty safe bet.

It's hard to say for sure if the virus has been tinkered with by man, but if it came from some terrorist's lab it sure seems like they'd have tried to make it transmissible between humans before releasing it. My guess is not - usually infectious biological agents make very dicey weapons because of the very high likelihood of "blowback" into the originator's country.

And I should have added that that's why there are so many new varieties of the flu every year.
