I will explain in my own case. At church I lead the Rosary before Mass begins. Others join in. Otherwise, I try to say the Rosary as often as I can or remember to do so. On my drive to Pinellas Park, over and over I prayed the Rosary with intentions for Terri and for my family and church, as often as I could. On the scene there I focussed my intentions on Terri and recited the Rosary over and over and where possible enlisted others to join in. We Catholics regard the Rosary as a powerful prayer and sought the benefit of Terri in the protection and arms of Our Lord.
It may sound unusual to non-Catholics, but comes naturally to us. I know years ago when I was a Presbyterian, it would have sounded odd to me. At Pinellas Park, a Presbyterial Minister would watch us and engage us in conversations on that same thing. Gradually, he came to accept if not completely understand and we became good friends.
