I was recently told by a friend, who works at a nursing home, that the elderly were slowly being moved out of the nursing facility and being replaced by aids patients. Seems that federal funding is higher for aids patients. $$$$
I suppose they're moving them to hospice but they could just be going home.
This could be a story that the Empire Journal might want to investigate.

Your friend is mistaken. I used to be a social worker for people living with AIDS. By the time they are sick enough to require care, they rarely go to nursing homes, they are usually ready for hospice. Unfortunately, due to the incredible ignorance and bigotry around AIDS patients, many nursing homes/hospices won't accept them.
