Actually, I'm willing to bet that boys are pressuring them in both regards, and they are being exploited in both cases.
It's a tradeoff, in my opinion. Boys use girls for sex; girls use boys for social power plays.
It's also peer pressure. Good upbringing can help a young
person not give in to peer pressure.
...but the sins of the fathers visit the 3rd and fourth
generations...
