We had families here before Katrina in hotels and motels. I sent my daughter to Wal-Mart to get gift cards and deliver them to those families. I called every hotel/motel in town, found out how many and delivered the cards to the managers to give the folks. This bypassed all administrative costs, except for putting the cards in mail slots by the already paid managers.
