Legally, that's true --- but it's all for politics and bashing Tom DeLay. The Dems wanted Delay's head on a stick and they just got it
But yet not a bleeping thing happened to all those dems who were amending their reports AFTER they were handed in

Indictments, even of ham sandwiches, are easy.
Convictions are another matter. It took'em three or four times going after Edwin Edwards before they got it to stick...

A grand jury is the tool of the prosecutor. It can deliver any indictment he wants. No grand jury today indicts on its own initiative. Believe me, Earle is behind it - his own office could have issued the indictment but he wanted to make it look like his fingerprints aren't on it. Substantiatively, its still Earle's project.

Delay is going to rip this charge apart and they know it, it is just window dressing for the midterms. Personally, I'd like to see what information you've got in this specific case. You ought to put it out there and broadside them.

Dreir is the chairman of the rules committee --- might be wise to have him fill in for DeLay and force the issue.
It's democrat thuggery.

The Rats are up to their usual dirty tricks? Speaking of people that should be investigated whatever happened to Clinton's former National Security Socks Burglar? The silence is deafening in the MSM??
Now watch how the leftist media will be squealing like pigs about Delay, and then compare and contrast that to Clinton's man. What is a more serious issue is a post September 11th world?
Yeah sure there is no media bias.....LOL!

Would this be such a huge loss?
DeLay just said "There is no fat in the federal budget" in regards to spending cuts. Also, Washington insiders have indicated "The Hammer" is now 'The Flyswatter" He's no longer the crusading conservative outsider, he's been co-opted.

Couldn't agree more look at what happened to Tim Hutchison.
Delay needs to resign right now to limit the damage. It is much better to lose one seat in the house then to lose control of the house in 06.

Haha...an open border apologist too like his friend Hugh Hewitt.
Yup -- a homosexual no-border-control liberal "Republican" running the show for the next few years.
Watch the RATs do a Carpe Diem move and close in on border control AND gun control -- you'll hear Saint Hillary and the rest of the Reborn "Conservatives" preaching a "triangulated" gospel the likes of which will put the mealy-mouths of the GOP to shame.
And in the process they will abscond with a LARGE chunk of "the base".

Yep, but we won't whine.
We'll fight -- on the offense.
No time to "delay" the fight now.
Bring it on!

Does anyone know if Congressman Dreier thinks there's room in the federal budget for some cutting?
I hope TD is found not guilty and that Earl gets his comeuppance. But in the meantime I'd like to see some fiscal slicing and dicing.

Their job is to decide if it's worth indicting or not...and the rules are stacked in favor of the DA, not the defense. I realize that they are stacked in the DA's favor, but they were still inclined to indict DeLay.

Dreier is soothing and polished on TV. We'll be fine. We don't need soothing and polished from the House Majority Leader; that's why we have Hastert as Speaker. We need someone willing to break RINOs like DeLay used to do.
