The Democrats are mad at losing their majority status in Texas and are now bent on driving the architect of the GOP House gains out of political life. Machiavellian and effective.

Delay will get out of this. It's not about getting out of this. If he's guilty he should go to jail, but he's probably not guilty. However, the damage is done. Where does he go to get his reputation back? How does he recover the months/years that he was not a leader in the Republican party and had to fight to avoid jail?
It's not a matter of just not going to jail (well it is for him in the immediate future), but as a party it hurts us because the media will run with this forever.
Honestly the best defense is a good offense, and our boys in office have shown very little offense lately. They need to get out and attack the Rats. Kind of a scorched earth policy.

Really?... Yep. I like Delay,but.. Dems have made it a point to start slinging mud early , they whine, scream lies that go unanswered and pretty soon those lies stick. I think that is the problem with our party is that we wait until it's too late. We have the majority and what have we done with our power? The Rats are just that, they naw and naw until they get you, because we have refused to stop them when we could.

Several hundred DU members have just died of excessive orgasms. (others are expected to die after the charges are thrown out).

The 1993 indictment of Kay Bailey Hutchison was not thrown out. The prosecutors declined to press the case to trial when they received unfavorable rulings in the preliminary hearings. In other words, they knew they wouldn't win. So, the declining part would occur now, after the grand jury indictment?

This is the same prosecutor who indicted Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison in 1993. This one will be thrown out too. Whew! that's a relief. Thanks for posting that, but let's see if the media tells everyone about that. Of course Kay Bailey probably won't appreciate the reminders. In fact, she should be the one leading the charge that the DA is corrupt.

TOM DELAY SAYS HE WILL STEP ASIDE AS HOUSE MAJORITY LEADER FOLLOWING INDICTMENT: 'I have notified the Speaker that I will temporarily step aside from my position as majority leader pursuant to rules of the House Republican Conference and the actions of the Travis County District Attorney today' ...
To: penowa
This will all more than likely "go away" as soon as the '06 election is over and Delay is forced to sit it out.I suggested the same thing in #94.

Well then something positive will have come out of this after all.

That's what I thought. And I found Brian Wilson's report, untruthful. Just trying to keep track.
