Class 2: "Flight of the Phoenix" (2004) - I DARE you to first watch the incomparable original from 1966 with Jimmy Stewart, Richard Attenborough, Hardy Kreuger, Ernest Borgnine, Peter Finch, et al, and THEN see this remake and NOT projectile vomit AT LEAST four rows ahead.

I agree, the original was a metaphor for the Post War/Cold War world. A warning which we have failed to heed.
The remake would have been a good movie had the original never existed.

I never saw the original - so I guess I got nothing to compare it to.
But I thought the acting, plot and special effects and filmatography were all fine.
