There were really a lot of "softcore" nose art back in WW2.
So true.
I used to have a whole website of B-17 nose art, but the photo above was taken by my grandfather.

Nothing says love like letting another guy see you naked and take pictures.
Visual aids are very helpful.
Hey everyone, I'm Lori Mann, the photographer at Pink Kitty Studios that this newspaper story was about. I wanted to clear up a couple things. One is that although the reporter made that innane comment about "the pics are only meant for her boyfriend", Beverly totally knew that these pix would be on the front page of the Daily News and on the internet too! The whole reporting staff and their camera crew were there when we shot her! (Hence, the reason his comment is so stupid.) We would NEVER put up peopole's private pix on the internet without their permission and a proper model release.
Second, in response to the comment about "how does the guy feel about another guy seeing his wife naked when the photographers are taking their pictures" well, we're all women in ths studio, so that's not a problem at all. And in the case of Bev's photos, were the press was there, there was not nudity.
Hope that clears things up! We get tons and tons of women who do this for their guys, and it's a blast for all involved.
Lori
Anyone remember the thread from a couple of years ago about "TakeOneFortheTeam.com" or some similar name?
Interesting... and welcome to FR. How did you find this article in 2 hours?
Nevermind... 3 days and 2 hours. I can subtract.
Operation take one for the team.
And yeah, I remember it.
It may have been a hoax.
My grandfathers B-17 was called the Nedralind but I never have been able to find any pix of the aircraft?
Paging G. Gordon Liddy -- maybe he could branch out -- add these to his "Stacked and Packed" calendars -- or make another one!
Any truth to that?
Thanks for the rest of the story!
Do you ever have any guys posing for their gals in service ?
Just curious. ;-)
Its a cool idea Lori, I hope you make lots of $$$.
Vintage bra and panties? As in used bra and panties, Salvation Army style?
