Good choices. I bought the 88's because they are cheap enough not to worry about banging them around. 6 shot mag is plenty. I like the Ruger Auto's because they have exposed hammers and double action combined with the decock lever makes keeping one in the chamber simpler.
I love my Glock 30, but I'm VERY careful when I reholster in my CCW vest. I usually take the vest off and reholster.
I've been very happy with the Rugers I own. One my my biggest mistakes was getting rid of my old Blackhawk. I wish I had that one to do over again.
