Napoleon was also very sensitive to the power of Islam, trying hard to show respect for it to the point of hinting that he himself was a Muslim.
'Hinting' huh? Sounds like he was lying through his teeth, so obviously he WAS a 'good Muslim' since he had this requirement down pat.

At the Napoleon's time still large if not majority of Egyptian population was Christian. Lebanon which remained a Christian country for much longer was quite prosperous.
