...Considering the sad state of rock music these days, no big loss...

I've been listening to hard rock bands since the late '60s. But after hearing "Stairway to Heaven" and "Hotel California" for the 30,000th time I found myself listening to modern metal bands that my teenage son was listening to.

Disturbed
Shinedown
Chevelle
System of a Down
30 Seconds to Mars...and others are damn fine bands.

My son cringes with the knowledge that his old man likes the same music he does. :-)

I have the same problem--"Sweet Home Alabama", for instance, is un-listenable anymore. Don't get me wrong--great song, but I've just heard it too many times.

LOL. My nieces cringe at the thought that I, at 51, like some of the same music they listen to.
