Just like with Vietnam. If you believe the popular perception and the lefty spin you would think a majority of those who served and were killed were minorities. The facts say otherwise though.

The left has been clamoring for years that the military is mostly poor minorities who were suckered into joining.

The Army does have a higher proportion of minorites than the general population, but they tend to enter support units instead of infantry. I don't know why, but it is documented. I've no clue on the other branches of the Armed Forces.
