That sounds about right. Read somewhere that minorities join to learn a trade and get money for college. Crazy white boys join to fight...
I went combat arms, too.
I don't think there's any way to determine from the numbers which group served better. My experience as an Army Chaplain says that all our soldiers (less a miniscule fraction of malcontents) perform at the highest levels of excellence.
Ah perception!
Hispanic warriors and white warriors, supported valiantly from the rear by black (what?) fearless warehouse guys?
Agree
OK OK!
"Fearless" might imply that some might be"fearful"...at some point in their otherwise excellent service.
How about "difficult to describe"?
In today's volunteer military, it's still a fact that black enlistees are more likely to choose support positions (truck drivers, warehouse workers, food service workers, etc), while white enlistees are more likely to gravitate toward combat roles.
Charley Wrangel, Jesse Jackson et al know this; they simply lie because they know they'll get away with it.
Skelton's congressional district went 65% for Bush in 2004. It's anticipated his seat will go Republican when Skelton retires (he is 73 years old now, in his 15th term).
Perception is all.
My son't combat battalion is over 90% white- and- let me add...MANY are college grads. Another day, another sterotype down the drain.
Thanks for the ping. Any news on a response from Rangle? : )
Charlie's, Jesse's, the NAACP, the Rainbow Coalition, and every other race baiter in the country.
