Got a good buddy with a trailer at the East Tx fair in Tyler. Told him to bug out for a few days, but he and his wife decided to ride it out in their RV in a mobile home park. A lake across the road from them. Fair closed today except 4-h, ffa animal showings.

I have not had contact with him, any folks in the area know whats going on up in Tyler. Luckily it looks like Rita will move east and not stall over Tyler like first predicted--just the same weather dot com calls for thunderstorms all day today, but no rain amounts...so any word would be helpful from you Tyler Tx folks out there...

re Tyler:

Lookin pretty good. No tornados; storm tracked East; Rita kept moving.

Electricity out for about 15,000, still raining light, but much better than it looked Thur/Fri.

I'm 30 miles or so South of Tyler, so far mostly just steady rain & some trees & power lines down.

Here are two Tyler TV stations you could also monitor.
