Hmm... TWC seems to have changed their Rita forecast. Last night, they were saying she'd be picked up by the front and taken out of there to the northeast. Just now, though, they said she's going to linger there for some time.

If rain continues in that entire area, and flooded rivers continue to be blocked from flowing to the GOM -- which is piled into southern LA and not going anywhere -- not only NOLA is going to be Atlantis.
