I missed Blanco on FNC (was watching TWC). CNN has been reporting a rupture in the pipelines or storage facility at the Henry Hub natural gas facility in Erath, Vermillion Parish. An undetermined amount of gas may be flared off.

The Henry Hub is a major, and I mean major, natural gas distribution point. Serious problems there could mean real problems elsewhere with natural gas.

Or is this one of those incomplete early reports?

Not much out of Vermillion yet.

I heard an incredible story on local tv about a bunch of horses out miles in the water in the gulf in chest deep water. People were going out in boats, getting on them and riding them in. I heard 10 miles out. That was when I knew the flooding was like really bad.

Coast Guard admiral just reported the same thing to Geraldo. Of course, Geraldo was so busy runnin' his mouth he missed the significance of it and let it slip by.

A gas pipeline seems like a pretty easy fix, once you can get to it.

Not like oil where it can sludge up on you and clog big sections of the pipe when it isn't moving. That leaves us with X days shortfall, which can't be recovered easily, but the price bump would (assuming that the energy companies really price according to supply and demand) go away once the flow was fully established again end to end and everybody who needed gas was caught up.
