Cynthia McKinney: A Moron Speaks...Live from the DC Peace Demonstration
C-SPAN | 09/24/05 | self

Posted on 09/24/2005 8:47:47 AM PDT by blake6900

Her opening line at the "peace" demonstration was a real winner: "If we didn't know it now, we certainly know it now."

This rally is a great comedic diversion from the Hurricane Rita coverage. Tune in and indulge.

Here's the thing I really love:

The whole "Justice for the people of the Gulf Coast" thing.

Seems to me, that when you live 5 or 10 or 20 feet below sea level on the Gulf Coast, that flooding of your homes is Justice.

Any word if C Spin is going to cover round 2 of the Able danger hearings? Or should I expect C Spin to simply "cover" Democrats butts? (as usual)

Its as if the more Conservatives complain about the obvious
discrepancies in programing the more C Spin squeezes us out.
My theory is this: If Conservatives are allowed a platform& a legitimate forum to get their message out, we win. Hence, the Media Left have no choice but to blackball us. If they can't make us go away they will simply muzzle our voice with "selective censorship"

"Look out! They've got some guy from Hamas up there now.

That is all we need to know. If Hamas is for it, then we as a Nation should be against it. Do any of these people recall that Hamas helped to murder our Marines in Lebanon?

The C-SPAN guy the other day mentioned something that was shown on C-SPAN3...I forget if it was the Able Danger hearings or something else, but in any case that is useless for people whose cable service doesn't include C-SPAN3.

On Occasion I still call C Span. I have learned that if I start dialing before 7:30 I usually get through.
Heres a scary discovery, in 2001 C Span never screened callers now they do. Recently, when I disclosed what I was going to say on the air the C Span screener simply hung up on me. I was not nasty or rude. It was the content of my remark that got me disconnected.
I must confess, since then I have lied to the screener & had my say once I got on the air. Mind you, I am never crude or hysterical.
But, I do notice that many of the so called Conservatives that make it on the air feed into the worst stereotypes Conservative Americans face. Again, "selective censorship" IMHO

Exactly,
its a subtle form of discrimination Conservatives face in the media.
Another tactic C Span uses is to show a conservative event live, then never again. The appreciation dinner for Tom delay is one example. Or, if they do show a rerun of the conservative event it is aired between 2 am & 5 am.
I wish I was joking but I have seen this time and again.

Yep. I don't usually quote that great philosopher Gump but stupid really is as stupid does. They should at least had the smarts to by a cheap raft and some paddles.

BTW, Doc...I really enjoyed your contributions to this thread. You're hilarious and I hope we can stay in touch. That whole "peace demonstration" was comedy at its' finest and I wanted to thank you for your part. We both have been around here for a while and we're pretty damn funny. If we were on the other side we'd probably be able to save Air America. At least something humorous would be said.

Take care.

To be clear, I was making fun of that guy. I'm not sure he was part of Hamas at all but, being a conservative, I'm expected to stereotype people and so that's what I did. The fellow in question actually did rail against Israel during his speech so I might have been right but at the time he looked and sounded like a candidate for suicidal bombing.
