I doubt 10,000 evacuees, also. However, there were a lot of people from the Houston area that came up to stay with the college kids in their apts and they didnt stay in the shelters.

Don't doubt that 10,000.

There was probably 2,000,000 folks that left the Houston area. All of our neighbor towns took 'em all in.
