11:40 PM - The observing unit at Sea Rim State Park now reporting sustained winds of 61 knots/70 mph...gusts to 72 knots/83 mph.

70 mph does not sound that bad, I remember Nor Easter's in Virginia that had winds at least that fast.
11:30 PM - The office is receiving numerous phone calls from people who didn't leave before the storm, asking if it's okay to leave now. PLEASE stay sheltered in place at this time...it's far too dangerous outside and on the roads!!
