If there's any coastal flooding in Harris County from this, it would probably be there, so the fact that there isn't any is a good sign. I think what's passing through Houston right now is an outer-outer band.

We always have to worry about the trees here during monsoon season. Oaks must put down some pretty deep roots, they withstand a lot of weather.
New orleans is getting very lucky..band of training storms just west of the city is producing rainfall rates of 1-3 inches oer hour for several hours

The local guys said it might have been the newest part of the airport, which was "very nice". As someone who has flown out of that airport, let me say....nah, they are getting pummeled enough from the storm.
