Last year during Charlie, both my dogs acted very strangely. I actually "lost" my miniature dachshund for awhile. I finally found her huddled underneath a pile of clean clothes in a laundrey basket, trembling and shaking. This was before the worst of the storm even arrived. She had never done that before and hasn't done it since.
I have a daschund also....sounds just like her.
