Just happened here in Phoenix. 100s of calls to Police and News Stations. Incredible Sight!
Has anyone ever really ~seen~ swamp gas?
We saw it here, about 8 miles east of Ontario. It was SPECTACULAR! The hydrazine in the rocket fuel glows a strange red when the setting sun is defracted through it. We could actually see multiple stages ignite and it peeled off toward the southwest.

It was just some swamp gas reflected off of the clouds and happened in conjutcion with the northern lights.
