I'm riding it out in the area of 290 and Barker Cypress and it made me a bit nervous that his entire neighborhood had evacuated. (Mine hasn't)

I'm in Sugar Land, and my neighborhood hasn't evacuated, either. There aren't too many people out and about, however. Just saw on TV that, if the current forecast holds, we should expect winds of 60 - 70 mph.

On the west side, like you, you'll be suprised how quick the sky clears up if it doesn't stall or slow down.
