One of my passions is hunting dove and I watch them year round in anticipation of dove season. Yesterday I saw numerous dove flying erratically and swooping down in the path of traffic. I thought at the time that this unusual behavior was an awareness of the hurricane on their part. I am about 400 miles east of where Rita is expected to make landfall.

Do most people who hunt dove use dogs, or not? What breed?

I have a young Lab that has completed her first hunt test title and I'm thinking about taking her out for her first "real" hunt.
