Are you still in the Cripple Creek area?

No, sadly, I'm down to 5500 feet now. I like the short and mild winters down here but I sure do miss the summers up there. I used to love calling lowland friends during heat waves and complain that it was 73 degrees and so hot I might have to wipe my brow soon.

I miss picking on flatlanders, now I are one. Oh well, there are still Texans ;-) ducking and running fast

Seriously, fall is a nice time to visit Manitou.

Heh - I haven't found a time of year yet that I don't like visiting Manitou. LOL... I can love it in winter as long as I know I'm coming home before I get brain-freeze. However, I'm such a die-hard Texan that I still get real cold up there in summer. I like my temps in the 80's and 90's. I know, just ain't natural. Can't help it.

You're right, I would love to get up there sometime this fall. For personal reasons, it would just be a good time for a visit.
