I just checked the latest forecast on weather underground. It has the eye coming within about 25 miles east of Tyler.
Are you in Tyler? The stores here were wiped clean of bread/water/etc. I think they were getting re-stocked tonight. Tyler was crazy today.

I've been wondering just how high Cedar Creek Lake can get. It's about 100 yards from my front door now.

Thanks for the info--passed along a msg. Unfortunately the East Texas Fair plans on opening Saturday AM. He has bug out lans, fully fueled and stocked with water and goodies. Luckily he has a concession trailer, not a stick booth on the grounds so it will be easier to move. Will try calling again in the am...thanks all

But not really crazy, just lotta folks buyin lots of stuff at the stores. I saw it as a good sign. Better it be in people's hands and not the store if it gets bad. Now, it may get more "interesting" in stores and gas stations around here Friday and early Saturday...
