The local news at 10pm, here in Odessa, stated they had one man to come in to the gym, but he didn't stay. Odessa is a long way from Houston, but they do have room for some who may not find shelter elsewhere.
It's just that I think that people are more likely to find gas, food and places to stay the further north and further west they go.
I'm in a little town 'bout 20 miles west of Waco. Was downtown quite a bit today and talked with lots of folks coming through here looking for shelter. 2 different families were headed over toward Odessa - dunno, they may have had family there... so many people I can't remember.
