Definitely better than in a car on the road, IMHO. Sorry, my nerves are starting to fray, after being calm all evening. I thought you were dismissing the danger because we're on the dry side. (Just 110 mph winds and 12" of rain.) It's OK.

not dismissing the danger at all... never been in a hurricane (never care to be in one) and never been to Houton. Just figured it might be safer to batten down and stay put. People have lived through major hurricanes before..but it was mostly questioning what would be the best thing to do.
