During the 2000 primary - I attended a John McCain speech in Greenville South Carolina. I was a John McCain supporter - until that day. What I witnessed was a speech given by a disturbed man. He railed that he "is Luke Skywalker",, taking on the Empire. He looked like a man possessed by lord knows what. I was completed stunned - I was came home shook up - and I came home sure that man was completely nuts. Nothing I have seen from him since that day can convince me otherwise. Be careful everyone - this guy has a loose wire.

what is so disgusting the MSM keeps trying to say it was the dirty tricks of bush and company; but it was his nasty disposition and belittling comments directed at the christian right

"Be careful, everyone, the guy has a loose wire"

This has always been my impression. I don't think he can be trusted, his trolley having left the track a while ago.

Jake..as one Jake to another..I agree..he is a
radical with noting to offer....We need a guy
like Sen. George Allen, past Governor..very well
liked and can hold his own as a Conservative...He
needs more expoisure but he isn't the TV hog
that McCain and some of the others are...Maybe he
will get around to his intereest in running ...at
the right time. Jake

I went to see him, then, too. He walked within a few feet and turned and waved. He looked lijke an albino with a phoney seg. I left early, after he let vets start bitching about their benefits.

You are right. McCain would *not* make a good President, for reasons having nothing to do with ideology and everything to do with personality.

There are certain types that make great 'loose cannons' and bad leaders. McCain is one. Howard Dean is another.

As for Barone saying McCain's stance on immigration, being more for open-border-amnesties than the administration, and co-sponsoring a bill with Ted Kennedy ... well, he's nuts.

GOP voters want an end to illegal immigration and the border s secured.
