Doesn't matter. What Paul did here is indefensible. Why on earth would he want to meet with this traitor? Even if he is against the war, you'd think he would shun Sheehan. How would you defend this?

Believe me, I don't defend this at all. Paul is a jackass when it comes to Iraq. That said, I'd still take one Ron Paul over 100 of your average GOP'ers, as he is one of the few voices left fighting for small government and individual liberty, something both parties have long forgotten about. As far as this former soldier is concerned, Paul is still a national treasure.

No, he's a national punk.

If you have 100 Ron Pauls you'd have to also say that you'd have 100 with his same views on national defense. Then we'd be in a world of deep doo-doo. Thankfully, most Americans are smarter than that.

This is one of the reasons why I have very little respect for ideologues.

BTW, I'm a former soldier as well (HHC 82d Soldier Support BN (ABN)).
