Crystal Beach, can you imagine it surviving?

I'm sorry to say, no. My beach house is on the other side, the West side and I've pretty much accepted now that it will be destroyed Saturday morning.

I hope I'm wrong.

I used to party on Crystal Beach in my younger days.
That State Highway from Crystal Beach to Beaumont was half a pavement for much of the way - what hurricane destroyed it?

So houses close to the North Jetty in Port Bolivar are probably in even more trouble, being closer to the eye? I've got lots of fond memories from when my aunt and uncle had a beach house there in the 50's - 70's. (sigh)

Oh no! As you probably know, such great memories are made when the entire family is together at the beach. Darn it!

Well, good luck to you and yours. Mine are in Beaumont, Austin, Houston, Nederland, Lumberton and Baytown. Most are taking the opportunity to visit some in west Texas.

I'll be saying my prayers in earnest for you all.
