Oddly what she seem to be mad about is she didn't get that super rich treatment where they will hold open a closed story for them...so in a way she might be right, they treated her like an "anybody" and not a super rich celebrity bigshot "somebody"

The french aren't celebrity worshippers like in the US, plus, even your french high society snobs have the decency to call ahead and ask for extended hours, something about the semi-socialism actually leads to greater respect of the blue/white collar worker.

She seemed very annoyed when the Hermes president said that the salesperson didn't recognize her. Never mind that Oprah was wearing blue sweats and had no makeup on -- in short, she looked like a typical American tourist. Of course, Oprah couldn't simply chalk up her experience to the French being the French -- she had to blame it on racism.
