Maj. Gen. Bennett Landreneau was appointed to head the LNG by previous Republican Gov. Mike Foster. The head of LNG serves some kind of limited term, and it would seem unusual to me if such an appointment was too political. I believe Gov. Blanco will have an opportunity to re-appoint him, so we shall see.

The top jobs in just about every state in the union are extremely political essentially BECAUSE they're political appointments. When a governorship of a state changes parties, the ripples of political change in that state have brave men quivering in their boots.
