That's a pretty big mistake to be making, blubbering crocodile tears on national television on the most influential of the Sunday morning talk shows. Too big to believe that it actually WAS a mistake. But while I agree with everybody about "thank goodness for the bloggers", the bloggers are good at surgically removing cancers like Dan Rather and his forged documents - they're NOT as effective at countering the tidal wave of intentionally bulls**t "reporting" by the vaunted, degreed, oh-so-important fourth estate. Punch an MSM shill if you ever get a chance...

This is a big mistake (aka lie) that needs to be corrected with a big retraction on Meet the Press. I'm also highly suspicious that NBC knew this guy was going to make these charges against FEMA and they brought him on so he could "balance" the Governor of Mississippi on what had gone on.

What we got was a very nicely done one man performance,
"Mama, they comin' for ya, Ma, hold on, they tol' us they acomin', Mama they comin' tamarra, I know they comin', they tol' us Mama, they comin for ya." "And, (add tears and screams here to the point of becoming incoherent) she died waitin' fer hep" and then, "somebody betta go ta jail fer this, I'm tellin' ya."

And this Broussard fella, as a local gov't official HAS FIRST RESPONDER RESPONSIBILITIES FOR ALL WITHIN HIS JURISDICTION. This guy knows/knew the responsibilities duties, and authorities in this instance. He probably could have done something even if this event, at the care facility, was in another jurisdiction.
But instead, it served his personal and political purposes and NBC's to curse the federal government for not evacuating every single person in need in a 90,000 sq mile area.

Am I mad about this fraud and finger pointing and the MSM perpetrating yet another set of lies? Yes, indeed I am. I watched this display live and I'm sure many were moved by the emotion of this "story." Yet, now we know it was untrue and the blame in this instance mis-placed.
Bloggers here on FR and elsewhere give evidence to the only truth being told in this horrible set of tragedies. And I won't hold my breath for a retraction or correction from NBC or Tim Russert. They are too busy looking for next blame game -- other than telling the true story of a catastrophic storm that could have killed tens of thousands more.
