I thought there was an article out recently labeling Seattle as one of the friendliest cities in America. Or is my memory mixing it up with the worst?

Well, I've lived here for over 40 years and it's true that years ago Seattle was a friendly place but since it swung so far into hard-Left politics in the late 60's and 70's it's really unfriendly, unless you're a fire-breathing Leftist.  NOBODY in this entire county would put a Bush/Cheney bumper sticker on their cars because they know that if they parked it anywhere on the street it would be keyed or worse.  Bush/Cheney yard signs resulted in numerous acts of vandalism against homes.  If people know that you're Conservative you will NEVER be invited to a party and friends are hard to come by.

"sigh"

I would have moved away from here years ago except for the fact that I have obligations here which make that impossible.

Idaho sounds nice, as does Montana.  Every time Texas has been mentioned here at FR it seems that it's because something GOOD has happened there.  Everyone from Texas that I've ever met has been really nice, and Lubbock was recently rated the #2 Conservative city in the USA, after Provo, Utah "I think".

Oh well, in the meantime I will consider FR more of a 'home' than Seattle :-)

No flames, please, this is MHO...I respect the oppposite POV, but for me, I'm happy to hear this. The Beatles revolutionized music and their music is still superior to anything out there now. Very happy their place in history is being recognized. I suspect the other fellas' homes will also be preserved. This is good.
