Things are going to continue leaking out. I just read this from a link to the New York Post On Line: http://www.nypost.com/news/nationalnews/53533.htm

By NILES LATHEM September 17, 2005 -- WASHINGTON — Members of a secret Pentagon intelligence unit known as Able Danger warned top military generals that it had uncovered information of increased al Qaeda "activity" in Aden harbor less than three weeks before the attack on the USS Cole, The Post has learned.

In the latest explosive revelation in the Able Danger saga, two former members of the data-mining team are expected to testify to the Senate Judiciary Committee next week that they uncovered alarming terrorist activity and associations in Aden weeks before the Oct. 12, 2000, suicide bombing of the U.S...

............... I think there is so much that Able Danger knew about in real time that the project had to be closed down to protect to many folks in the Clintoon admininstration from being placed in jail. This crap given that they could not share info about Atta because he was considered an American is ballshi!. It is being shown that was just one little part of a mass of very incriminating evidence showing the lack of leadership during the Clintoon years, not to mention the tie in with the Chicom deals. Perhaps the Atta part will be allowed to continue but a lot of stuff will be keeped under the rugs. We can't have a Federal trial to convict a president of the United States on treason charges. It is not PC in todays world. Though it is the only fitting and proper thing that should be done. Weldon is hoping that more will get exposed leading to finger pointing to the Slick One but I am afraid Specter will not allow that to happen. The Beltway gang do not operate in that mode.

Hmmmm. Reno has assumed control and responsible for implementing the Emergency Response Assistance Program, commonly known as the "Domestic Preparedness Program," to provide civilian personnel of Federal, State, and local agencies with training and expert advice regarding emergency responses to a use or threatened use of a weapon of mass destruction or related materials, and for testing and improving the responses of such agencies to emergencies involving chemical or biological weapons and related materials.
