- There are some hints that Hitlery was fearful of something coming out of the Commission that she didn't want brought out. Last week another poster informed us that when the membership of the first Commission was proposed by the White House, the Dems held out for the dropping of two of the names and their replacement with Gorelick and that particulary partisan lawyer who had served on previous enquiries (sorry, can't recall his name offhand).
Then again, the placement of her people on the inside might have just been a normal precaution of a shrewd operator who wanted a "heads up" on any potential issues that her operatives could supply.
We'll probably never know because, since Whitewater, Hitlery has learned a valuable lesson. Never manage a potentially explosive or illegal operation directly - always use a "cut out" intermediary to carry out the task. Establishing "plausible deniability" has been her operating method ever since.
