Women only "marry up." When you're already near the top, there are fewer pickings.I think there's an element of truth in that...not as much as it used to be. Women at the top want men who can keep up with them, whereas men at the top don't really have that prerequisite.

Personally I think you hit the nail on the head-a male executive would date a waitress but a female one isn't likely to date a plumber or an auto mechanic.
